This rare and unique 3.5 storey conservation shophouse in the Bukit Pasoh Conservation Area is minutes from the Outram Park MRT station.

It is an enclave known for its architectural heritage and deep ties to Singapore's Chinese clan and mercantile history. The road was named after Teo Hong, a Hokkien contractor from Fujian, China, who was active in the early 20th century and contributed to the construction of several notable colonial-era buildings, including the Fullerton Building. Shophouses along this street were built during the late 19th to early 20th centuries, reflecting a transitional architectural style between the ornate Late Shophouse Style and the more streamlined Art Deco influences that emerged in the 1920s and 30s. These buildings were typically occupied by Chinese merchants, craftsmen, or families tied to the network of clan associations in nearby Bukit Pasoh and Keong Saik Roads.
