Property Overview

This unique pair of 3-storey conservation shophouses lie in the heart of Craig Road, which links Neil Road to Tanjong Pagar Road. With a distinct forecourt and intricate “Chinese Baroque” architectural design, the shophouses also have unblocked views of the Pinnacle at Duxton park area.

The area around Craig Road was originally a nutmeg plantation owned by Dr. J. W. Montgomerie. His plantation, which included a portion of the current Tanjong Pagar Road, nestled two “dwelling houses” known as Craig Hill and Duxton. In 1856, following Montgomerie’s death, the property was auctioned off to Ker, Rawson & Co. Craig Road was constructed after the 1856 sale and named after the aforementioned dwellings.
