Property Overview

Situated at the junction of Ann Siang Road and Club Street, this 2.5-storey property is a short two-minute walk from Chinatown and Telok Ayer MRT stations.

Ann Siang Road, which sits atop Ann Siang Hill, is lined with numerous beautifully restored shophouses and intricately decorated terrace houses that were built between 1903 and 1941. Ann Siang Hill was originally named Scott’s Hill, which changed to Gemmill’s Hill when John Gemmill bought the land. After Chia Ann Siang became a wealthy landowner and one of the leading merchants of his time, he acquired both Mount Erskine and Gemmill’s Hill at the beginning of the 20th century. Since then, the area was named Ann Siang Hill. Chia Ann Siang also owned horse stables in the area.
